All Blacks Sevens improve finish in Cape Town despite semi-final loss to Blitzbokke

The All Blacks Sevens have finished third at the Cape Town Sevens after beating Scotland 24-19 in a closely contested 3rd / 4th playoff.

A try in the final seconds to Jonathan Ruru sealed the win for the men in black after they were knocked out by hosts South Africa earlier in the day in a 14-7 Cup Semi-Final loss.

The New Zealand side improved despite the loss to South Africa after a disappointing start to their season in Dubai last week where the Blitzbokke handed them a 40 point loss.

The All Blacks Sevens topped Kenya earlier in the day 28-7.
