All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expected to reveal future plans tomorrow

December 13, 2018

The coach could walk away after next year's World Cup.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen is expected to make a call on his coaching future tomorrow morning.

New Zealand Rugby is to hold a press conference in Auckland tomorrow at 9am, where Hansen is expected to make an announcement on his future after the Rugby World Cup in Japan in 2019.

The 59-year-old said last month on the northern hemisphere tour that he will make a call on his coaching future before Christmas.

"I decided before I left (for Europe) that I was going to make one (decision)," Hansen said last month.

"I'll do that when I get home, at some stage before Christmas."

Hansen joined the All Blacks team in 2004 as an assistant to Sir Graham Henry.

He succeeded Henry as the head coach after the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
