Canterbury first-five Richie Mo'unga will link up with the All Blacks, as the side assemble in Brisbane for this weekend's third Bledisloe Cup Test with the Wallabies.

Mo'unga, 23, joins the side as cover for Beauden Barrett, who left the field in the first half of the All Blacks' 25-24 win over South Africa in Cape Town after a head knock.

Meanwhile, Brodie Retallick remains absent from the squad, after he and his partner suffered a family tragedy before the Springboks Test two weeks ago.

Patrick Tuipulotu will also remain with the side, replacing Luke Romano, after the lock and his partner welcomed a baby boy recently.
