Watch as French surfer rides massive wave off Portugal, in contention for largest conquered by woman

French surfer Justine Dupont's captured the moment she rode a massive wave, which could be the biggest reached by a woman.

The 28-year-old says she reached speeds of 66kmh at Portugal's famous Nazare Beach.

The wave's height is currently being determined by officials, and will be announced next year.

Early estimates say the wave is though to be around 20 metres high.

The current women's record is 20.7 metres.
