Video: Winter Paralympics hero Adam Hall blown away by 'spectacular' Auckland welcome

March 21, 2018

Hall and his teammates arrived home from PyeongChang this morning.

Winter Paralympian Adam Hall was blown away by the welcome he and his teammates were given at Auckland Airport this morning, as the New Zealand contingent returned from the PyeongChang games.

Para skier Hall, 31, won two medals at the games, bringing home a gold and a bronze - as well as the Whang Youn Dai award for showing the spirit of the games.

Speaking to 1 NEWS, Hall said that he couldn't believe the reception he and the team were given.

"It's pretty outstanding to be able to have such a warm welcome home," he said.

"To have that kapa haka performance in front of the team here, and see some family and friends here as well was spectacular."

"Really good to finally be home in New Zealand after a long campaign away."
