Video: 'Say it to his face' - Anthony Joshua's promoter warns Joseph Parker’s camp

March 28, 2018

Anthony Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn has suggested to Joseph Parker's camp to repeat their criticism of the British heavyweight champ face-to-face during their press conference tonight.

Parker's promoter David Higgins said that his fighter and his team will leave the press conference if "disrespectful" Joshua is to turn up late.

"It's great for the fans, what we are seeing from Team Parker and Joseph Parker particularly growing in confidence as the fight approaches," Hearn told Sky Sports UK.

"They're starting to say a few words about Joshua which is brilliant because 'AJ' wants that.

"But as I've said to David Higgins before and this goes for Team Parker as well, don't hold your little press conferences in a hotel and do your internet stuff back in New Zealand and say all these things and then when we meet on Tuesday, have your foot in your mouth."

Joshua and Parker are set to put their WBO, IBF and WBA heavyweight titles on the line in their unification bout in Cardiff on Sunday (NZ time).

"I want them to say it to Anthony Joshua because Anthony Joshua wants them to say it to his face.

"I told him some of the stuff they've been saying and he loves this. This is the kind of fight he wants to be involved with."
