Rugby league hardman Paul Gallen has accused All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams of being scared of him, as the prospect of a fight between the two looks to have stalled.
It was reported in July by the Sydney Morning Herald that an agreement had been reached by the two camps to schedule a bout, although a a dispute with broadcasters appears to have signalled the end to the prospect.
Gallen however, insists that the fight is only being held up due to Williams' avoiding him.
"I think the issue here is that Sonny is worried about me," Gallen told the Sunday Herald.
"I've watched him very closely this year and he is looking a bit fragile."
"They know that I am not like anyone he has fought. I will come at him and keep coming. I don't have a reputation as a boxer to protect.
Gallen concluded by stating that although terms between the two had been agreed, he did not believe that any kind of fight between the two would take place.
"I'll be very disappointed if I don't get to fight Sonny because people want to see it."
"At this point, I really don't think that it will happen."
