NZ's first pro baseball team in a race against the clock to prepare Auckland ground

The Tuatara team will be making their professional debut in the Australian Baseball League in few days.

New Zealand's first professional baseball team are in a race against the clock to get the McLeod Park field in Auckland up to scratch for the countryy's first ever Australian Baseball League game.

In just two days the Tuatara team will make their New Zealand professional baseball debut.

Tuatara pitcher Kyle Glogoski says he's excited to play at home.

"I played my first series away and everyone was booing so can't wait to have the crowd cheering on our side and hopefully get the boys a little pumped up for it," said Glogoski.

The Tuatara team will take on Melbourne on Friday.
