August 29, 2019

Kiwi crews have kept up their impressive form at the World Rowing Championships in Austria, with eight boats advancing through to the semi-finals.

On the women's side, single sculler Emma Twigg, the pair of Grace Prendergast and Kerri Gowler, lightweight double Zoe McBride and Jackie Kiddle all won their respective quarterfinals to progress.

Meanwhile, the men's crews of Michael Brake and Thomas Murray in the pair also claimed a quarter-final victory, while Para-rower Gavin Foulsham has sealed a spot in his final.

Single sculler Robbie Manson, men's pair Chris Harris and John Storey, and lightweight pair Harrison Somerville and Matt Dunham all booked their semi-final spots as well.

Men's lightweight single sculler Ben van Dalen was the only Kiwi to fall out of medal contention overnight.
