Kiwi Ferns to face off with Cook Islands in Women's Rugby League World Cup

November 19, 2017

For the first time, the Women's Rugby League World Cup is being held as a standalone event.

New Zealand will go head-to-head with the Cook Islands this evening in Sydney in the second round of the Women's Rugby League World Cup.

The Kiwi Ferns had a convincing win against Canada on Thursday, walking away with a 50-4 win.

Cook Islands went down to Australia on Thursday 58-4, with the winning side set to take on England today.

New Zealand will play at 6pm NZT led by captain Laura Mariu, with the grueling schedule seeing the Kiwi Ferns take on Papua New Guinea on Wednesday

The Kiwi Ferns are currently ranked world number one, having come out on top of three of four Women’s Rugby League World Cups since 2000.
