Joseph Parker will be sticking with his current promotional and training team, despite suffering the first loss of his professional career, Duco Events' David Higgins says.
Parker, 26, tasted defeat for the first time as a professional in Cardiff last month, losing to Britain's Anthony Joshua via a unanimous decision to surrender his WBO title.
However, despite this, the Kiwi heavyweight won't look to change too much as he prepares for another crack at obtaining world champion status.
Speaking to 1 NEWS today, Higgins confirmed that Parker's current deal with Duco Events expires next year, although he isn't concerned over losing his prize fighter.
"He trusts me, we have a great relationship, I've got his back," Higgins said.
"I don't make up his mind for him, but he's happy with his core team.
"His mindset is to sit down and analyse the areas that need improving, and work on those areas."
