Israel Adesanya v Robert Whittaker – coming to a supermarket near you?
Probably not, but newly crowned UFC interim middleweight champion Adesanya said he’s so keen to fight the Australian he would do so at a Pak’nSave if necessary.
Speaking after his brutal UFC 236 victory over Kelvin Gastelum in Atlanta yesterday, the charismatic Kiwi-Nigerian said he would do what ever it took to unify the division.
“Tomorrow, meet me at Pak’nSave, meet me at 10pm, Westfield,” he said with a grin.
More seriously, both fighters are eying an August fight, although Adesanya’s coach was pushing for a longer gap given his man’s hectic recent schedule.
UFC boss Dana White has said the bout could be held in Australia.
