The trainer and father of boxer Hughie Fury has been denied entry into New Zealand.
Peter Fury was due here in late April/early May for the May 6th WBO world heavyweight title fight against Kiwi boxer Joseph Parker.
Fury, the uncle of former world champion Tyson, has drug possession and intent to supply convictions in the UK from the 1990s.
He has served two prison sentences, one for drug dealing and one for money laundering, the last ending in 2010.
Immigration New Zealand said in a statement they declined the trainer's entry on "character grounds".
"Mr Fury was ineligible for a visa unless granted a special direction," it said.
"His case was fully considered and all representations submitted on Mr Fury's behalf were taken into account before a decision was made to decline his request for a special direction."
It is understood the WBO title fight at Vector Arena will still go ahead, although Hughie Fury will not have his father in his corner.
