Fijian Sevens hero Semi Kunatani made an emotional return home to his village of Naveyago, the first time he had been back since winning gold at the Rio Olympics.
Kunatani, 25, was joined by the Fox Sports Australian team including former Wallaby George Gregan and Australian Sevens women's player Tiani Penitani, as he visited the village where he grew up.
The Naveyago villagers lined up to welcome the Sevens star and Kunatani was greeted by the women in his family that helped raised him.
Kunatani was overcome with emotion, crying as he thanked his village for their support in a special ceremony dedicated to the Olympic medallist.
"For me when we came in on the horse so to speak, I stumbled off the horse and I realised 'wow we are at something special,'" said Gregan.
"He represents his village, he represents the people who brought him up as a young man and I think that was reflected in what he was saying."
