The Black Ferns Sevens women were all class, dominating France 31-0 at FMG Stadium tonight to win the Fast Four tournament in Hamilton.

France were starved of possession in the first spell with the New Zealand women running in three tries to lead 17-0 at the break.

Michaela Blyde scored the opening try of the match for the Black Ferns after the French had the home team back pedalling.

Blyde straightened New Zealand’s attack before weaving out of a French players attempted tackle at halfway. She put her foot down and raced away to score under the goal posts.

Things got worse for the French in the second half with New Zealand running in two more tries to win the inaugural Fast Four tournament.
