Unstoppable Silver Ferns produce dominant display to beat Jamaica in Nelson

The Silver Ferns have produced an astounding performance, coming away with a 72-34 victory against Jamaica in Nelson.

The Ferns got off to a roaring start, leading by 19-8 at the end of the first quarter after some fantastic link up play that Jamaica could not cope with.

That dominance extended further into the game, with a massive 20 goal lead going into half time with the home side dominating the possession, with Laura Langman and Grace Rasmussen in full control of the mid-court, and defending well without the ball.

Shooter Bailey Mes had a productive night, shooting a game high 41 from 48 attempts, a vast improvement after she was criticised for a lack of efficiency during the 5-point loss to Australia.

Te Paea Selby-Rickit also had a good night on her first start for her country, shooting 15 from 18 attempts.

The Silver Ferns lead the 3 match series 1-0 as both teams head for Palmerston North ahead of the second Test on Wednesday.
