Some of the Silver Ferns stars took time out of their busy schedule yesterday to give back to the community.
Former skipper Casey Kopua was joined by Maia Wilson and Amerliaranne Ekenasio in packaging up fruit and vegetables for those in need.
They linked up with KiwiHarvest, an organisation that delivers food to the community, that would otherwise be thrown out.
"Fruit and veges they are expensive and to eat well it can cost a lot," said Kopua.
"So even if it is two or three or four carrots per whatever it is, family whatever, it can make a difference."
The Silver Ferns' full squad will meet up together next week for the final netball camp of the year.
