Silver Ferns coach Janine Southby is adamant her side will recover from their recent stumbles, determined to claim gold at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast later this year.
Having named her 12-strong side to travel to the Gold Coast earlier today, Southby spoke to 1 NEWS about her side's mentality after a challenging few months at the helm of the New Zealand side.
"These girls are working really hard behind the scenes," she said.
"I know that they're hugely disappointed in what we've put out the last couple of weeks."
"They are absolutely determined to be at their best, and to really challenge and be at their best and go forward to get that gold medal."
"Maybe this has galvanised them, hearing each other's stories and knowing they are not alone," say the nurses behind the Facebook group, New Zealand, please hear our voice.
