The Silver Ferns said in a statement Cullen's injury will require 6-8 weeks of rehabilitation, meaning she will miss the four-Test series against the Australian Diamonds as well as the Fast5 Netball World Series.
The first of the four Tests for the Constellation Cup is on Sunday 9 October with the Fast5 Series taking place later in the month on October 29 and 30.
Cullen posted a photo to her Instagram account earlier today where she was sporting a moonboot.
Gina Crampton has been called into the squad for the Constellation Cup but a decision is yet to be made for the Fast5 tournament.
Crampton will become the 164th Silver Fern should she debut in the series.
