Toa Samoa's star centre Joseph Leilua said there will be no love lost between him and NRL Canberra teammate Jordan Rapana when they cross paths on Saturday night at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland.
Samoa open their Rugby League World Cup campaign against the New Zealand Kiwis this weekend.
Leilua said the size of his side's forward pack will not intimidate their Kiwi opponents, who have gone for mobilty in a bid to counter Samoa's bulk.
"I know they aren't scared," said Leilua.
"For me we (Rapana) have been raised the same way but in saying that me and Rapana have a close bond."
Leilua and Rapana have been nicknamed in the NRL as 'Leipana' with their devastating combination down the right edge for the Raiders.
"But when you get out on the field we are enemies, so can't wait – good luck to him and good luck to myself," said Leilua with a huge grin.
"I don't know what will happen we will see on game day."
The last time Samoa played the Kiwis they lost 14-12 in Whangarei in a Four Nations match that went right down to the wire.
Leilua told 1 NEWS the result will be different this time come Saturday, "ahhh… 14-12 our way."
