Watch: The Warriors' secret weapon? Speakers flood Mt Smart ahead of finals appearance

September 4, 2018

To prepare for heavy crowd noise, music was pumped through the team's training today.

The Warriors are stepping up their preparation to face the Penrith Panthers at ANZ Stadium when the NRL finals begin this week - flooding their training ground with music to simulate crowd noise.

Taking part in the NRL finals for the first time since 2011, the Warriors blared Thin Lizzy's The Boys Are Back in Town across their training paddock, attempting to replicate the effects of a packed Sydney crowd for this weekend's clash.

The move was the brainchild of five-eighth Blake Green, who had experienced the technique during his time with the Melbourne Storm.

The Warriors face the Panthers at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night.
