Watch: Tongan league stars hold swimming race - Warriors half Ata Hingano wins with ingenious piece of trickery

October 12, 2017

Hingano, Tui Lolohea and Sione Katoa had a bit of fun in the pool this morning.

Tonga and Warriors playmaker Ata Hingano came out as the winner as he and his teammates took part in an early morning swimming race at their team hotel in their homeland this morning.

As Higano, along with Tui Lolohea and Sione Katoa, started their race in the hotel pool, the Warriors half got out of the pool, cheekily running around the outside and jumping in at the finish line.

The Warriors playmaker joked that he might even get a gold tooth, as is the local custom.

Half of the Tongan squad arrived in Tonga today with Jason Taumalolo and rest set to arrive tomorrow

Andrew Fifita, Daniel Tupou, David Fusitua and other NRL players touched down in Tonga today.

The Titans centre has been in Tonga for two weeks, but was at the airport to welcome his teammates.
