The Tongan Rugby League squad were put through their paces this morning, as they assembled and trained for the first time as a squad at the Royal Palace just north of the capital of Nuku’alofa.
Some NRL stars in the team looked to be having trouble adjusting to the heat, with the players training amid temperatures in the high twenties.
After their training, players mingled and took photos with local fans lined outside the Royal Palace gate.
Tonga's first World Cup match is against Scotland on October 29 in Cairns.
