The NZ skipper became the first Warriors player to win the prestigious rugby league award.

A humble Roger Tuivasa-Sheck says he is "buzzing" as he arrived back in Auckland with his Dally M Medal this afternoon.

The NZ skipper became the first Warriors player to win the NRL's prestigious rugby league award.

"Honestly just buzzing I can bring this home back to New Zealand and it still hasn't sunk in yet," Tuivasa-Sheck told 1 NEWS at Auckland Airport.

Tuivsasa-Sheck also picked up the fullback player of the year award.

The 25-year-old averaged 167 metres a match this season and busted through a total of 92 tackles.

He wasn't the only Warriors player to snap up an award last night, with his teammate Jazz Tevaga also winning interchange player of the year.
