Watch: Blake Green presented with 'War-Blacks' half-and-half jersey ahead of All Blacks-Warriors time clash

September 4, 2018

NZ's two sporting powerhouses will compete for attention, both playing at the same time on Saturday.

Warriors five-eighth Blake Green has been left speechless at his side's media conference in Auckland today, after he was presented with a half-and-half jersey, for both his side - and the All Blacks.

The Warriors are preparing for their first taste of the NRL finals since 2011, when they take on the Penrith Panthers in Sydney at 7.40pm, on Saturday.

Unfortunately for fans though, the Warriors clash happens to coincide with the All Blacks Test against Argentina in Nelson, starting at 7.35pm, meaning TV viewers at least, will be split.

To remedy the matter though, Green was jokingly asked if the All Blacks and the Warriors could play one another, meaning fans wouldn't have to switch between the two.

"I'll speak to some of the lads, I'm sure they'd be really keen to do that," he said.

To his astonishment, Green was then presented with a half-and-half jersey by radio personality Jono Pryor, and was blown away by the gesture.

"Hopefully we can be as successful as they've been over their time - starting this finals series," Green replied.

The Warriors have played the Panthers twice this year, with each team winning convincingly at their home venue. Saturday's game will be played at a neutral venue, Sydney's ANZ Stadium.
