Warriors unveil special Anzac Day jerseys for annual clash with Storm

The Warriors have unveiled their special jersey to honour ANZAC sodiers when they take on the Melbourne Storm later this month.

The jersey features poppies, mountains and silver ferns with a colour palette of red, black and white.

Captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck said he feels "privileged" to play in the match.

"It’s an honour to be New Zealand’s team in the NRL and to play on a day that is so important to both Aussies and Kiwis.

"We will wear this jersey proudly and want to acknowledge all the Anzacs, both past and present, and thank them for their service."

The club said in a statement the poppy fields at the base of the jersey represent the fields of remembrance and also symbolise the Anzac spirit.

Both the North and South Islands are also represented by the distant mountains with Mt Cook on the front of the jersey and Mt Taranaki on the back. 

The Warriors and Storm will clash in Melbourne for their regular Anzac Day clash on April 25 later this month.
