Warriors rookie Adam Keighran named to start in the halves with Blake Green against Bulldogs

Warriors rookie Adam Keighran has been named to partner up with Blake Green in the halves, for their side's NRL season opener against the Canterbury Bulldogs at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland on Saturday.

The 21-year-old is set to make his NRL debut in the number six jumper.

Keighran joined the Warriors in the off-season from the Penrith Panthers club.

He managed to beat out Warriors under-20s star Chanel Harris-Tavita, who has been named on the extended Warriors bench for this weekend's Bulldogs match.

Both Keighran and Harris-Tavita played in the Warriors' trial match wins over the Melbourne Storm and Wests Tigers.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has been named at fullback as captain, with David Fusitu'a and Ken Maumalo named on the wings.

Nathaniel Roache has been given the nod to start at hooker with former Bulldogs forward Lachlan Burr named as lock for the Warriors.
