The Warriors have retained the talents of forwards Jazz Tevaga and Bunty Afoa after it was announced this afternoon the duo had re-signed with the club.

Fresh off his Interchange Player of the Year award at the Dally M Awards earlier this week, Tevaga has signed a new one-year deal for 2019 with a player option for the following season.

Warriors coach Stephen Kearney said he was stoked to keep the versatile forward for at least another year.

"We've been really pleased with the way Jazz has developed his game this year and were thrilled when he won the Dally M interchange award this week," said Warriors head coach Stephen Kearney.

"He was important to our success, the way he came off the bench to bring energy and toughness playing big minutes."

After missing the opening two games of this season, Tevaga played in 20 of the 23 following matches where he averaged 56 minutes, 10 runs, 85 metres and 37 tackles a game.

"There were other offers but I love it here and always wanted to stay," the 22-year-old said.

"We made progress this year. We have something to build on and I want to be part of our success next year and after that."

Kearney added he was also thrilled to have Afoa for another three seasons.

"Bunty has been terrific for us, even more so when you consider he was only 21 for almost the entire season," he said.

"What he gives us is real consistency in effort and performance which makes him one of the most impressive young forwards in the game. He also brings a wonderful attitude in all he does as well and will improve even more."

Afoa was used 16 times off the bench and started seven games this year, averaging 35 minutes a game, made an average 86 metres including 33 post-contact metres and 24 tackles.

There is still no news on another key forward signing though - Issac Luke.

The veteran hooker is rumoured to be looking at a deal with the Newcastle Knights but admitted yesterday family weren't making his decision easily.

"We want to stay in New Zealand as a family, my wife and the kids," Luke told NRL.com.

"It's pretty important couple of weeks coming up, we'll see how that goes the next couple of days.

"My manager is doing everything he can to get a really good contract. In saying that, I am happy where I am and obviously I want to stay."
