Warriors offered Kodi Nikorima to replace Shaun Johnson - report

The Warriors have turned down the chance to replace star halfback Shaun Johnson, with the Brisbane Courier Mail reporting that the Auckland side were offered Kiwis playmaker Kodi Nikorima by the Brisbane Broncos.

New Broncos coach Anthony Seibold is reportedly unconvinced by the Kiwi star's abilities.

Nikorima has so far made 79 appearances for the Broncos, having been with Brisbane since 2015, as well playing 13 Tests for the Kiwis, capable of playing both in the halves as well as at hooker.

However, the report goes on to say that coach Stephen Kearney turned down Nikorima's services, instead opting to look inwards for Johnson's replacement.
