May 2, 2018

Gold Coast Titans star Konrad Hurrell has taken to social media to thank his NRL teammates for donating spare rugby boots so he can send them back to his home country of Tonga for aspiring rugby league players.

Hurrell, 26, has become a hit with league fans on social media for his hilarious antics, but the colourful NRL star took a moment to make a shout out to his buddies for their kind and generous support.

"Much love to my @gctitans brothers for giving me some of their boots so I can send it back home to Tonga to some of the local talents," Hurrell posted on his Instagram story yesterday.

Hurrell was part of the Mate Ma'a Tonga league team that won fans' hearts around the world after their incredible run at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup tournament.

Tonga were controversially knocked out of the tournament in the semi-finals after going down to England 20-18.
