'They're dangerous' David Kidwell talks up Fiji ahead of World Cup quarter-final

November 12, 2017

The Kiwis coach isn't taking his next opponents lightly.

Kiwis coach David Kidwell says that his side are wary of a dangerous Fiji Bati, who'll meet New Zealand in the quarter-finals of the Rugby League World Cup in Wellington next week.

Speaking to media yesterday after his side's 28-22 loss to Tonga in Hamilton, Kidwell said that Fiji aren't a team to be taken lightly, especially when entering the finals stage of the World Cup.

"They've been playing very well," he said.

"I caught some of their last game against Italy - they can score from anywhere."

"They're dangerous."

New Zealand face Fiji at Wellington's Westpac Stadium on November 18.
