The Warriors have incorporated Maori design into their playing jersey for this weekend's clash with the Sydney Roosters, as the NRL embraces its indigenous round.
The jersey features a classic koru design pattern, as well as a characterisation of a traditional Maori warrior, drawn in 1980s comic book style artwork, as well as Rangitoto on the back of the kit.
"There's some really unique and special detail coming through here, which is synonymous with New Zealand, Aotearoa and our land," Canterbury's AJ Moriarty said.
