Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson is relishing his combination with new signing Blake Green, benefiting from the freedom the new five-eighth allows him to play with.
Johnson and Green made their first NRL start together against the Rabbitohs in Perth last week, with the pair shining as the Warriors picked up a 32-20 win to open their account for 2018.
Speaking at Warriors training today, captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck spoke about the effect that Green is having on the club's other playmakers, including Johnson.
"Greeny's there to take control, and allow players like myself and Shaun to run more," Tuivasa-Sheck said.
"On the weekend, you could see Shaun was loving the freedom to run, and you can see that he looks good doing it."
