Former rugby league stars are calling Warriors skipper Roger Tuivasa-Sheck the NRL's best captain of 2018.
The star fullback was at the top of NRL.com's poll , with the Kiwis international gaining seven votes from 18 rugby league experts.
Tuivasa-Sheck finished ahead of Melbourne Storm star hooker Cameron Smith and Canterbury Bulldogs skipper Josh Jackson, with both players receiving three votes each.
Former Brisbane Broncos and Kangaroos centre Steve Renouf said Tuivasa-Sheck's relationship with his teammates has helped his form in this year's competition.
"I've noticed how Roger has the respect of all his teammates and he's only 25," said Renouf.
"I reckon the Warriors would be one of the hardest teams to captain in the NRL.
"They have under-achieved in the past and the expectations are huge. This year they are on track for the finals and Tuivasa-Sheck's leadership is a major factor."
Former New South Wales five-eighth Jamie Soward echoed the same plaudits, saying Tuivasa-Sheck has been in hot form in 2018.
"The amount of scrutiny this team is under year after year would be hard for any captain but he has been in superb form this season and his leadership has grown," said Soward.
Tuivasa-Sheck was appointed by Warriors coach Stephen Kearney as skipper of the New Zealand NRL club in 2017.
The Warriors are guaranteed a spot in the NRL play-off finals and take on the Canberra Raiders in Auckland on Friday night at Mount Smart Stadium in their round match of the season.
