Queensland claim Origin opener against NSW after superb try-double by Dane Gagai

Queensland have won the first State of Origin clash with a come-from-behind 18-14 victory over New South Wales.

The Maroons overturned an 8-0 halftime deficit to score three tries through Corey Oates and a Dane Gagai double at Suncorp Stadium to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

NSW scored a try in either half through Josh Morris and Jake Trbojevic but were unable to prevent the Maroons claiming the win.
