Warriors hooker Issac Luke has defended the outburst of disgraced former NRL star Ben Barba, following his display towards a Channel Nine journalist.
Barba, 29, was filmed threatening Nine News journalist Tim Arvier earlier this week, after being asked about allegations he abused his partner on Australia Day, resulting in his lifetime expulsion from the NRL.
The former Dally M winner has since been working as a truck driver, having been turned down by both the UK Super League, and Australian Rugby.
Taking to Twitter, Warriors star Luke urged that Barba be left alone, in no need of a reminder of his circumstances.
"What goes through reporters heads in the mornings," Luke wrote.
"'Oh let's go and piss this player off or harass this player. I don't condone what he done and he will live with that his whole life even his babies will see this shit. Leave the poor fella alone.
"Pretty sure this is bullying."
