Biting allegation sours PNG Orchids' win over England women

November 16, 2019

The Papua New Guinea Orchids have notched their first ever Test win today after beating the England women’s team 20-16 in Port Moresby today.

The Orchids, who only played Test rugby league for the first time two years ago, overturned a 6-10 halftime deficit.

The historic win was soured by a biting allegation in the first half made by England captain Emily Rudge.

The match was held up in the 24th minute as officials took photos of the alleged bite marks on Rudge’s arm.
