The Cowboys bring up their second win over the NRL season after an inspiring performance by their skipper Michael Morgan. Morgan's kicking and game management in the second spell is what helped his side get over the home team.

North Queensland have snapped a five match winning streak for the Warriors at Mount Smart.

NO TRY! Issac Luke scoots out of dummy half and officials rule he has been held up over the try-line. The Warriors shift the ball quickly down the left edge and Ken Maumalo can't hold onto a 50/50 pass by Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. Surely the Cowboys can't lose it from here.

FIELD-GOAL! Michael Morgan fires a wobbly drop kick at goal and it's over! A late call from the officials but they have awarded it.

72 mins: WARRIORS 10 COWBOYS 16

KNOCK-ON! Michael Morgan forces a turnover, hitting Adam Blair with a big tackle just as he was catching the ball. The Warriors forward can't hold on to it. Disappointing error just as the Warriors were making their way into the Cowboys' red zone.

TWO! Jordan Kahu steps up and converts and easy penalty kick after the Warriors are penalised for slowing down the play of the ball.

TRY! Michael Morgan kicks on the first tackle after a scrum deep inside the Warriors half. The Cowboys' gamble pays off as Justin O'Neill regathers the ball and powers his way over to score.

Jordan Kahu nails his conversion from the sideline.

NO TRY! Roger Tuivasa-Sheck scoots out of dummy half and goes himself on the final tackle. The Cowboys tackle him well short of the try-line.

47 mins: WARRIORS 10 COWBOYS 8

TRY! Roger Tuivasa-Sheck comes up with a magical play for the Warriors! RTS puts on a big left foot step and runs around the Cowboys' Jake Clifford. He has one more defender, he steps and powers his way around Te Maire Martin and goes into score under the goal posts.

Chanel Harris-Tavita converts the try from in front of the posts.

And we are back underway with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck kicking off towards the Cowboys.

HALFTIME - WARRIORS 4 COWBOYS 8

Some good signs from the Warriors on defence after defusing several attacking sets from the visitors late in the first spell. The home team have been guilty of failing to execute crucial plays inside the Cowboys' red zone. The Warriors were denied four try scoring opportunities due to poor errors.

40 mins: WARRIORS 4 COWBOYS 8

TWO! The Warriors hold on, defend their line after four attacking sets by the Cowboys. Adam Blair is penalised by officials for being offside and Jordan Kahu extends the Cowboys lead with a successful penalty kick.

36 mins: WARRIORS 4 COWBOYS 6

DEFENCE! David Fusitu'a makes a huge hit on Te Maire Martin, coming in off his wing to make the tackle. Martin's pass hits Fusitu'a's shoulder before going into touch. Officials rule a scrum to the Cowboys deep in the Warriors half, replays showed the Fusitu'a didn't play it though.

30 mins: WARRIORS 4 COWBOYS 6

NO TRY! The Warriors are denied back-to-back tries, with Gerard Beale denied a try after replays showed Tohu Harris had knocked the ball on. The David Fusitu'a is denied the next play with officials ruling that Adam Blair had obstructed Cowboys centre Jordan Kahu from making a tackle.

26 mins: WARRIORS 4 COWBOYS 6

TRY! Jake Clifford runs it on the last, he throws a dummy and busts through the Warriors' defence. He passes the ball to Coen Hess who follows up in support and Hess is in for the Cowboys' first try.

Jordan Kahu nails his conversion from a tricky angle.

19 mins: WARRIORS 4 COWBOYS 0

TRY! Ken Maumalo goes to score the first try of the match! Some great passing from the Warriors down the left edge. It starts with a back door pass from Lachland Burr to Chanel Harris-Tavita. The rookie half throws a pin-point skip pass to Gerard Beale who then quickly shifts it to Maumalo.

The left winger has a bit to do with two defenders coming across, but manages to stay in with a dive over the white line.

Harris-Tavita is offline with his conversion attempt from the sideline.

NO TRY! Chanel Harris-Tavita looks to be going to the left side to kick on the last, but he puts up a bomb back inward towards the posts. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck goes up and misses the ball. The bounce of the ball is cruel and goes the way of the Cowboys with prop Matt Scott regathering the ball.

PENALTY! The Cowboys need to be careful here, they have given away three penalties already - penalised for the slowing down the play in the tackle.

NO TRY! Roger Tuivasa-Sheck beats Michael Morgan with a big step deep inside the Cowboys' half, Tuivasa-Sheck offloads the ball to Adam Blair but he spills the ball forward. All he needed to do was catch up and pass - and the Warriors would have been in down the right hand corner.

The Warriors hand an overlap down the right edge, missed opportunity for the home team.

KICK! A solid two opening sets from the Warriors, Issac Luke kicks early on the fourth. He's just outside his own 40m line and his kick goes bouncing into touch just inside the Cowboys' 10m line.
