'Let's gone Warriors!' - WWE superstar Sheamus throws support behind Warriors ahead off NRL play-offs

September 4, 2018

WWE superstar Sheamus has thrown his support behind the Warriors, sending the team a special video message ahead of their NRL play-off match against Penrith on Saturday.

Stephen Farrelly aka Sheamus spent time with the New Zealand club in 2016 as part of a promo tour.

He sent the Warriors team a video message via social media to congratulate the team for making the final eight in the NRL.

"I want to congratulate the entire Warrior nation for making the NRL finals," said Sheamus.

"Congratulations lads, it doesn't just stop here cause right now I'll be watching from the USA as you march all the way to the grand final and win it.

"Why? Because your heart is bigger than everyone's, your fight is louder than everyone's and you portray a message that everybody across the entire world is going to hear...

"Let's gone Warriors!"

The Warriors haven't been in a grand final since 2011 when they went down to Manly Sea Eagles 24-10.

The Warriors take on Penrith Panthers this Saturday at ANZ Stadium in Sydney, they need to win three straight play-off games to make the grand-final.
