Isaiah Papali'i unavailable for Warriors' curtain-raiser due to 'club issue', Stephen Kearney refuses to reveal details

Warriors youngster Isaiah Papali'i won't be kitting up for the Warriors' season-opener against the Bulldogs this weekend due to a "club issue", coach Stephen Kearney said.

The Warriors coach was asked about the 20-year-old's availability for Saturday afternoon's contest when he confirmed Papali'i wasn't up for selection.

"It's a club issue, but he'll be available for next week," Kearney said.

When pressed for further information, Kearney refused to budge.

"It's a club issue - that's the issue and that's all I'm saying."

The Warriors play the Bulldogs on Saturday at 5pm at Mt Smart Stadium.

Kearney wouldn't reveal what the issue was, but said the 20-year-old is available next week. Source: 1 NEWS
