Eden Park looking to lure Warriors away from Mt Smart

Eden Park is interested in luring the Warriors away from Mt Smart, with the prospective owner of the NRL franchise meeting with officials from New Zealand’s biggest stadium.

Eden Park has reached out to prospective Warriors owner Richard Fale, hoping to strike a deal with the NRL club.

The CEO of the consortium looking to purchase the Warriors today meet with Eden Park stadium CEO Nick Sautner with options of one-off games or a more permanent arrangement on the table.

"We're a half a billion dollar asset for the people of Auckland and we certainly believe we can assist with Richard's growth strategy for the Warriors," Sautner said.
