The Tongan Rugby League World Cup team were given a lovely opportunity to visit their families' villages after an unscheduled tour led by NRL star Konrad Hurrell this afternoon.
After visiting the children's ward at Vaiola Hospital, Hurrell took his teammates on a special little excursion.
Hurrell made sure the entire squad went on the tour to let his teammates know who exactly they're playing for, and give them something to remember when times get tough at the World Cup.
"We are just driving around where the boys were born and their family area here. Just before we seen Jason Taumalolo and his family here," said Hurrell.
"We're just going around to where the boys lived and where their parents grew up."
Tongan winger Daniel Tupou said he still gets emotional when visiting fans and family in the small Pacific nation.
"This is the best experience ever, I went through this in 2013 and I had to come back and witness this again," said Tupou.
"To see Jase's (Taumalolo) family back there and now Tui's (Lolohea) family, it's really emotional but it's heart-warming."
The group of talent is worth over 20 million dollars in the NRL and Super League but today showed just why later this month they'll be happy to play for free.
