All Blacks first-five Beauden Barrett says that he jumped at the chance to take part in the Steven Adams Invitational tournament at Windross Farm today.

The inaugural tournament, which aims to raise funds for the Sports Pathways Trust, played host to a range of Kiwi sporting royalty, with the biggest name in world rugby just one of many to get involved.

"I didn't hesitate," Barrett told 1 NEWS Sport's Guy Heveldt.

"These days out are great, firstly for the charity, but also to do something different."
