If you've ever had your mum embarrass you at work, then you may feel some sympathy for Chinese golfer Li Haotong.
Li snapped his putter in frustration after bogeying the par-3 11th hole during the French Open on the European tour overnight, disposing of it in the lake.
His mother waded into the water by the 11th green, trying to salvage what was left with the gesture leaving other players in the field in hysterics.
Li had no putter for his last eight holes, finishing on even par by using a sand wedge on the green instead.
