Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko has fallen short of adding a fourth Canadian Open title to her trophy cabinet, finishing in a five-way tie for eighth place in Regina this morning.
Starting the day in seventh place, Ko played her way through the front nine blemish free, before opening her back nine with a birdie on the 10th.
Things got even better for the Kiwi, coming away with an eagle on the 14th, carding a -3 round, sitting at -13 for the tournament.
Ultimately though, it was too little, too late for Ko, finishing eight shots behind winner Brooke Henderson of Canada.
Ko shone at times during the tournament, coming away with a first round score of -6 to see her challenging the leaders.
However, an even par second round would ultimately prove to be decisive, before a -4 third round and -3 this morning not enough to make up the distance on Henderson.
