Kiwi golfer Ryan Fox has received an invitation to next week's PGA Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina after his fine form on the European Tour over the last month.
This will be Fox's second major of the year.
He will join fellow New Zealander Danny Lee at 2017's final major after Lee landed a spot at the event yesterday after a good finish at the Canadian Open.
"It's just based on world ranking really. They've got their categories that they fill the event with and any leftover spots they give invites out based on world ranking," Fox told 1 NEWS.
"Luckily enough I picked the right three weeks to play well on the European Tour and got that ranking up a little bit."
The 30-year-old made it into the men's top 100 for the first time after consecutive fourth-place finishes on the European Tour last month.
"I got the invite last Monday, which was a very nice call from the management company," he said.
"I'm looking forward to getting over there on Sunday."
"Maybe this has galvanised them, hearing each other's stories and knowing they are not alone," say the nurses behind the Facebook group, New Zealand, please hear our voice.
