Lydia Ko has continued her sizzling start to 2019, holding on to second place after shooting a three-under 68 in the second round of her latest LPGA event in Florida.
Ko heads into the weekend in a share of second in the Tournament of Champions at Tranquilo Golf Course sitting at eight-under overall, two shots behind Canadian leader Brooke Henderson.
The 21-year-old is also tied with Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn and South Korean Eun-Hee Li.
Ko headed into the second round one shot off the pace thanks to an opening round 66 and managed to stay in the hunt with a mix of five birdies and two bogeys this morning.
Like the first round, Ko didn't miss a fairway all morning as she kept the pressure on Henderson although she did suffer a slip-up on the par four 15th when a possible birdie became a bogey due to an ugly three-putt on the green.
Still, the Kiwi bounced back on the 16th to make par and cut the deficit to two shots with a birdie on the 17th.
Ko is seeking her 16th LPGA Tour win after ending her drought last year at the Mediheal Championship in April.
