Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko finishes in a tie for eighth at LPGA's Founders Cup

Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko finished in a tie for eighth, carding 18 under par at the Founders Cup in Phoenix, Arizona this afternoon.

The 21-year-old has a promising start in the final round, firing birdies on her first two holes, and was within two strokes of the overall lead.

She carded another birdie on the seventh hole, but for the rest of the round carded 11 straight pars.

South Korea's Jin Young Ko took out the Founder's Cup after finishing 22 under par for the tournament.
