He's back! Tiger Woods lets loose in pro-am round with two eagles day before competitive return

After a 15-month hiatus from the sport due to a back injury, Tiger Woods has returned to golf and done so in classic style - sinking two eagles in one round.

Woods has sent golf fans into a frenzy after showing glimpses of his former self during the front nine of the Hero World Challenge pro-am event where he eagled the par-5 third and par-5 ninth holes.

The outing comes just one day before his official return to competitive golf after a back injury and two resulting surgeries kept him away from the greens for 15 months.

The tournament, which is hosted by the former world number one at Albany, New Providence, fields just 18 of the world's best - including Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson and Bubba Watson.

Tee off time is scheduled for 1am NZT tomorrow
