Kiwi golfer Danny Lee sits fourth after a second-round score of 70 at the PGA's Mayakoba Classic, currently -10 and three shots off the lead in Mexico.
Coming into his second day after a first round 62 had him in the lead at -9, Lee started the round brightly, a birdie on the 11th hole followed by an eagle on the 13th, sitting -3 from his first four holes.
However, the Kiwi came undone on the 14th with a bogey, finishing the back nine at -2.
The Kiwi's fortunes wouldn't fare much better on the front nine, with a birdie on the third cancelled out by a bogey on the fifth, before another on the ninth leaving Lee at -1 for his second round.
Lee currently holds a tie for fourth spot along with Adam Long of the USA, trailing American Harris English (-13) by three shots heading into the third round tomorrow morning.
